sketching101

So apparently today's the day I complete my first day on deviantART. I looked over some of my older work and I can say that I'm satisfied with my progress. Of course, I'm nowhere near the level I want to be but it makes me glad to be able to see my drawings develop more and more over days and weeks. Hopefully I'll be able to get much better at this by the end of the year, and I certainly hope you guys like the stuff I'm doing. I'll be sure to put more and more effort into each drawing.

    Well... This is my first actual Journal Entry. It's more like a rant than a journal entry though. Well, here goes nothing...    I was looking around the forums the other day and saw a thread about "What it meant to be American?" Now, I've been wondering about this for some time. I mean... Why would someone take pride in being a part of a country when they don't know anything about any other countries? So I started scrolling, looking at the responses. I noticed something.
